Lemon Prettiness

Hello friends
Today its back to the new Crafters Companion cd Angelica & Friends.
One of the things I like with some cds – and in particular the Crafters Companion is the card to a sheet...that is one sheet to print with all the elements to create one super card – and its still so easy to add your own stamp to it
This card was made with one of those sheets!
So materials for this card I used ….
Heat mat to work on and protect your surface – I always use it...
scalloped 6x6 card
scrap of brown card
printed sheet
small piece of stripy paper
funky foam and flower punches
a button and fibres
Brown spotty ribbon
Sticky pads
Eazi Score Board & tool
Tonic 8” guillotine
Shaping tool from
Foam shaping mat – stamping mat or even a mouse mat
To make the card …
The scallop card was folded in half and a length of brown spotty ribbon then wrapped around the spine edge of the card and secured inside the card.
A piece of striped paper was trimmed to fit the card front – leaving a gap between the paper and the ribbon.
Next I cut out the elements on the sheet – the base image was matted to the brown card leaving a border all around.
This panel was then attached to the centre of the card – overlapping the ribbon slightly – using double sided tape.
There wasn't much in the way of decoupage so I added what was needed then stuck the realistic looking bow in the top left corner.
The rosette was glued to the bottom right hand corner and a button was chosen that contrasted with the colours – I threaded some white fibres through the button and tied a know – this was stuck to the rosette using pinflare glue.
A couple of foam flowers were punched and smaller punch with another colour – I used cosmic shimmer pva to stick the flowers together and in place along the left edge.
To finish I added an AB gem to each flowers as well as 3 in the top right corner
A sakura quickie glue pen was used to highlight the fairy dress and wings then sprinkled with glamour dust.
Lastly the cosmic shimmer pva was tapped along the floor of the design and light green flowersoft was added
And there we have it – a really quick and easy – low print cost card that looks as good as anything that uses heaps of expensive materials!
I think the image is so pretty and the card will be perfect for any birthday, for Easter or just as a general “how are you” note.
And its another card in the “to use or to sell box”
See you again tomorrow friends!
