Pole Position

Hello friends
I have had another fab cd from www.debbimooredesigns.com and its perfect for men's cards!
It is the Cards For Men Vol 3 Sports and what man do you know that hasn't any interest in one sport or another
So this cd is well worth the money...it has the popular sports like football, tennis, cricket, motor racing, rugby and golf.
Great art work – and the offer of design sheets, decoupage, papers and everything you could ever need for a sporty card!
Even the complete cards are well worth having a go at – everything needed for the card is on one sheet of printing – and you can chose from A5, square or A6 I think.
So materials for this card I used ….
Heat mat to work on and protect your surface – I always use it...
A4 black card
printed sheet
strip of acetate
versamark embossing ink pad and clear embossing powder
Sticky pads
Eazi Score Board & tool
Tonic 8” guillotine
Scissors
Tweezers
Shaping tool from www.dimensionstamps.com
Foam shaping mat – stamping mat or even a mouse mat
To make the card …
I folded the black card in half to get the A5 card blank.
The backing paper and all elements were on the one sheet so I cut the backing paper down to fit the card front
The white edges were on the sheet
I cut out the faded out shaped panel as well as the Pole Position and the chequered flags
The faded panel was stuck with double sided tape to the bottom half of the card and the flags and word panels were over lapping each other at the top of the card
I cut out the ribbon border ad stuck it along the lower part of the card with the Happy Birthday sentiment on top.
I stuck the acetate strip in between the black helmet and a piece of black card, cut out the helmet and after ensuring the acetate was at the right length to flap about I cut away the excess and stuck to the inside of the card.
Using the versamark pad I covered the black & purple helmet then poured over clear embossing powder – heated it to melt then repeated 3 times in all – that was triple embossing
A couple of double sided stick pads on the back held the shiny helmet just under the chequered flag panel!
So easy to make yet looks good too – there is so much that can be done with these sheets – I can see me turning to this cd for my men's cards in the future!
And its another card in the “to use or to sell box”
See you again tomorrow friends!
x
