Baubles and Tree...

Hiya

I am so pleased to see the number of followers slowly rising and just look at the page views – doesn't seem that long ago I was mentioning we weren't far off the 10.000 views mark....kept it up my special circle of friends...

Today's card is a pretty christmas card that has the added interest in that it has a matching book mark – and I love the way it matches the design so well that it is hard to see its completely removable – mind you looking at the poor pictures I've taken you are going to have to take my word for it cos I haven't got them all lined up for the photos..

The sheet was purchased from www.craftsuprint.com and the sheet is available in several colours but for this card the item number is 354140_123 and its designed by Robyn Cockburn

So materials for this card I used ….

Heat mat to work on and protect your surface – I always use it...

Lilac A4 card stock

Printed sheet

Crafters Companion iridescent glitter spray

Double sided tape

Sticky pads

Eazi Score Board & tool

Tonic 8” guillotine

Scissors

Tweezers

Shaping tool from www.dimensionstamps.com

Foam shaping mat – stamping mat or even a mouse mat

To make the card ...

I scored the lilac card on line 7, folded and scored while it was still on the Eazi Score board then spun it and scored on line 7 again – this time I cut that section off which left me with the square card blank

I cut out the base image from the sheet and used double sided tape to secure the sheet to the card blank – I left a small border all around.

Next I cut out the pouch that was designed to fit on the card front for the bookmark to fit into – so once cut out I scored on the lines wither side and one at the bottom, these were folded over and double sided tape was added to the folded sections only

This pouch was matched up to the design of the sheet and then pressed into place.

There wasn't any decoupage as such just the ribbon and the bow so after cutting out they were attached with small sticky pads

I placed the card onto a sheet of old card and sprayed the front with the Crafters Companion iridescent glitter and set to one side to dry for a while

Using the left over piece of card from making the card blank, I cut the book mark out, scored along the score line, placed a piece of the lilac card stock inside and taped it all up carefully with double sided tape and fold. It was a perfect match to the card behind it and the pouch in front of it!

I decided not to add glitter to the bookmark in the hope the recipient will realise its unglittered and take a look – what a nice surprise then....

As I said this comes in several colours – I have done this lilac one, a teal colour and a pretty green one so far..

Its like a card and small gift in one!
