Hi

I would like to just say a huge thank you to everyone for the beautiful cards and gifts that have been given to me today for my birthday...such a variety but one card really stands out – I just need to know how it was done and have a go...will get piccies of all the cards when I take them down.

And every time I put the internet on my phone I get endless notifications of people using Facebook to wish me Happy Birthday....how lucky I am.

Back to the card now

This is an image from a kit I bought a few years ago – I believe she is Raindrop from Raindrop's Diary

I made this card up for Pete's daughter for her birthday..

So materials for this card I used ….

Heat mat to work on and protect your surface – I always use it...

Raindrop image

A4 textured purple card

Piece of dark purple card

Box making gadget

Purple spotty ribbon

Selection of different gems

Sticky pads

Eazi Score Board & tool

Tonic 8” guillotine

Scissors

Tweezers

Shaping tool from www.dimensionstamps.com

Foam shaping mat – stamping mat or even a mouse mat

To make the card …

The textured card was folded to create a standard A5 card, then I used a length of purple spotty ribbon with the bow making gadget (its a lump of wood with 6 evenly spaced nails) I used the middle nails to create a medium bow in the centre then stuck the long tails around the card at the spine edge and secured with sticky tape behind the card front.

The image was trimmed then matted onto the dark purple card.

This panel was then stuck with double sided tape to the card front leaving a space below for the sentiment which turned out to be a pretty tag shaped Happy Birthday – I held this in place with a lilac brad.

I used heart and flower shaped flat backed gems to decorate the wardrobeand then a quickie glue pen and g;amour dust for the pearls around her neck.

Once the card was finished I printed a simple insert and popped inside the card with 2 small stripes of DST,

I posted this card off to DIL yesterday along with the Digger Easel card so I'm hoping both cards will be well received! And if they aren't I was still happy when making them.

Right time to chill-axe – our girls Nicky & Vicky took Pete & I out for what was supposed to be lunch but because I had class then my Acupuncture appointment it was around 4.30pm by the time we all got to the restaurant...and the meal was beautiful – as was the fab fab fab ice cream dessert I had

So catch you again tomorrow folks!

x
