Funky Camper

Hello form a bright white Hull!!!
I was amazed to see and hear the thunder and lightening we have had despite the heavy snow falling – its just not the what you think of with snow is it?
This card is made using the design sheets and a backing paper from the new cd by Krafty Hands called Motor Mania – check it out here... www.kraftyhands.co.uk
I loved all the images but this bright orange camper van jumped out and I loved the backing paper so it was a must do!!!
So materials for this card I used ….
Heat mat to work on and protect your surface – I always use it...
Main image sheets and the backing paper
A4 white card and scrap of gold card
Glossy Accents to finish
AB gems and pearls
Sticky pads
Eazi Score Board & tool
Tonic 8” guillotine
Scissors
Tweezers
Shaping tool from www.dimensionstamps.com
Foam shaping mat – stamping mat or even a mouse mat
To make the card …
I scored and folded the main card in half then scored the A4 gatefold line to form the basic easel
I covered the base of the easel with the orange bubbles backing paper, trimmed all round then rounded the corners with the corner chomper.
On the piece of white A5 card I covered that with the orange backing paper then rounded all 4 corners
Next I attached that to the easel using double sided tape
The main image was positioned and stuck in place with double sided tape
When the decoupage pieces were cut out they were built up with sticky pads
I cut out one of the shaped tags that also had the camper van on – added sticky pads then positioned on the base of the easel as a stopper.
2 small speed dials were stuck on the base easel as decoration.
I cut out the Happy Birthday sentiment as matted it onto a scrap of gold mirri card – this was then placed above the camper.
Glossy accents were applied to the roof windows and head lights and I used orange pearls on the sentiment and the stopper.
Clear AB gems were added to the wheel hubs and red AB gems to the lights at the front
Finally dark blue card candy was added to the corners of the main image and 3 at each side of the easel base.
I think the cad has a really good look to it – you just can't help but smile!
The cd is filled with all manner of vehicles – sporty cars, classics, retro, motorbikes etc...and as well as the sets like I used there are toppers and backer, papers, wallets, photo frames and so much more – a great cd for anyone of any age – we always think of me and motors but I think girls would love this camper, or the mini or even the beetle that feature on the 2 cds!!!
Will be here again tomorrow with another new card
Take care and keep warm folks
x
