Piano Player...

Hi

Another hot and sunny day here – so spent until mid afternoon working on the atc swaps I had signed up for then went outside in the garden with my Kindle for a few hours – cant say it was peaceful as the idiot in the field behind was cutting the grass – it was once a school so you can imagine the size of it – well it was taken over after the school was demolished by a football club – and this idiot cuts all that grass on a little sit & ride mower – so its every single day – the noise is madness – sometimes he starts at 7.30am and other days he is still there at 9.30pm – there is no consideration for others!

Plus it would seem the neighbours all decided to cut their grass throughout the afternoon – hey you lot – hows a girl supposed to read with all that racket going on!!!!

Anyhow to the card for today...

Its using a sheet from www.craftsuprint.com and was designed by Janet Briggs but I just cannot find the sheet number

So to make this card I simply scored and folded my A4 sheet of brown card in half creating my A5 card

I cut the main image from the sheet and matted that onto a piece of bright gold mirri card – this was then positioned centrally on the card and stuck in place with double sided tape.

The decoupage was cut out then shaped lightly, had tiny sticky pads fixed to the back and then placed onto the card front until all the elements were in place

Then it was just embellishments – so I used plain baby pink and white pearl with stars card candy – placed 3 down the top left corner and 3 across the bottom right corner.

I then used glossy accents to highlight parts of the card like the piano players inner ear, nose, pads of his hands and feet – the cute animals on top of the piano and even the odd few musical notes

Don't know what it is that was so appealing to me but loved making the card and its great for those hard to make MEN.

See you tomorrow
