What's Behind The Doors?

This is the last order from Ann

The order was “the naughtier the better”

I guess it gave wide scope but I was lost!

I struggled big time but as usual I finally got there – but once made I really wasn't sure.

So materials for this card I used ….

Heat mat to work on and protect your surface – I always use it...

Bronze with gold embossed A4 card

To make the card …

I created a gatefold card using the luxury card stock.

Using a scrap of white card I stamped out 4 door hinges and a large keyhole using a versamark ink pad and black detail embossing powder – heated the powder then cut out the elements

As I was using the gatefold as double doors I stuck the hinges to the top and bottom of the folded edges and the keyhole across the 2 doors

I typed up a little ditty and printed it onto Safmat (Thanks Jae for the help) once it was dry I peeled away the backing and secured to a scrap of mirri card then cut the 2 bottom corners with shaped corner punch and matted onto a scrap of a similar embossed card stock.

This too was stuck across the 2 doors – obviously I only add glue to the left side or the doors wouldn't open...

The gold bead chain was threaded through sections of the die cut christmas tree and a gold ribbon bow was tied and stuck to the trunk of the tree.

I used strong tape to stick the tree to the card front...

Once the doors opened they revealed just what every man wants for christmas.

They were parcelled up and posted with a message saying if Ann didn't like them or they weren't what she wanted then she didn't have to pay but judging by the text I had today she said they were perfect!!!
