Honey Bear

Hello

The craft day was a huge success – everyone who booked a place turned up and thoroughly enjoyed the company as well as the projects!!

I will share the projects with you over the next few days once all the photographs of finished cards etc. have been taken and sorted out

Back to today's card then...this is one we did in class this week – not sure if I mentioned when I showed the friendship bear card, but I printed out a collection of square cards and the ladies in class just chose a poly pocket with everything they needed in it – but they couldn't see what sheet they had until they removed it from the wallet!!

This is another sheet with no designer details – and again I have no idea where it was purchased from – what I do know is I love the sheet!

I used a plain white A5 card blank and ran all over the card edges with Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Ink Pad – it is from the limited edition WINTER COLLECTION

Then I trimmed the edges of a piece of mint green mottled paper using a deckle edge blade...and stuck this to the card leaving a narrow border.

After cutting out all the pieces from the sheet, I used a shaped corner punch on the base image then glued it to the top part of my card....followed by adding the decoupage

I had a fancy flourish that I had cut using the Craft Robo so I used the Festive Berries and Bundled Sage ink pads to colour it then added a few dots of Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue and stuck this below the base image!

A small red gingham bow was added to the centre of the flourish...

To decorate the card I used Cosmic Shimmer WHITE PVA glue to form blobs across the bottom of the image, the mock stitching was highlighted with a quickie glue pen and then had glamour dust sprinkled on it.

I also used the quickie glue pen and glamour dust to edge the circular design and the outer edge of the Friend sentiment, as well as the wings on the bee and the petals of the flower on the bears jumper. A deep purple metallic pearl was added to the flower centre.

This is another very pretty card that would be suitable for any occasion and almost any age group....

Thanks for stopping by again....

x
