Good evening to you all
Own up – how many of you forgot to change your clocks??
So to the card....this is another of the pop outs just like the Easter card I shared yesterday
The card was also designed and made up by KATIE so thank you....
The sheets used were taken from Cupcake Crafting cds – Floral Delights... you will find the cd here... http://www.cupckaecrafting.co.uk/
So Katie used a plain white A5 card blank then a sheet of contrasting backing paper which was taken into My Craft Studio and faded out quite a lot – she used a Fiskars border punch to create the outer edges – this was then stuck to the card front using double sided tape.
The iris decoupage was slightly easier to cut out than the tulips as it is bigger sections
Collall photo glue was used to attach this to the card centrally!
The front of the card has been left plain – I can then add a sentiment and embellish to suit the occasion when the time comes!
Inside the card Katie had the backing printed along the fold so it was just a case of the pop out insert to do
A craft knife and small pointed scissors were used to cut out the centre – it meant cutting carefully around the flowers which gave a shaped aperture!
The insert was then folded in half and the sides gate-folded too....
I added DST to the right hand panel and after folding the insert and positioning the left side correctly – I simply closed the back of the card over – making the taped side of the insert stick in the right position! I flipped the card and removed the backing tape on the left side, then closed the card front – hey presto – the insert was perfect!
It was a bit cheeky of me to use almost all the same text from yesterdays card but I am running a little behind tonight so this was a huge help – saved me breaking the New Year Resolution that I have so far managed to keep in tact!!!
Something new tomorrow – promise....
See you tomorrow then...
x
A really beautiful card.
