Funky In Green

Hi

Today's card is another that was made for our recent craft day....

It was made by Paula...

A sheet of white A4 card was folded to create an a5 landscape card blank, this was then covered with pale green striped backing paper, the backing paper was actually taken from a Debbees cd called Lighthouse Bay – the paper was in the Bonus Papers section but as it wasn't in the colours we needed it was taken into Irfanview and the colour changed. Should you wish to know more about the fab cd, check out Debbees website -

Back to the card.... a piece of white card was stamped with a text stamp using green ink and then the card was edged with a deeper green using a blending brush.... The panel was glued to the centre of the card blank.

A funky image from http://www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/ was stamped onto a square of white card, the edges were inked in green and the image coloured using pro markers. A black fine line pen was used to draw faux stitch lines around the design.

Foam tape was put on the reserve of this stamped image and fixed to the left side of the text panel. It was placed at an angle....

A length of white card was stamped with the text stamp and then had the green ink rubbed along the edges – it was then put through the cuttlebug and using a Tim Holtz rosette maker die it was scored – after that it was a case of folding the scored panels in concertina fashion, then the ends were fastened using strong double sided tape.

A circle of card had a blob of wet glue added then the centre of the concertina was pressed into it and held for a few moments till it set....

The Happy Birthday sentiment stamp was cut from a piece of card, the edges were inked and then it was placed on top of the folded rosette!!

3 dark card candy were placed along the bottom right hand edge to finish.

Hope you liked this card – and maybe you will be inspired to try your hand at rubber stamping and colouring!!!

Bye for now....x
