One card two colours

Hello again
Well I am doing well so far don't you think? Two posts in two days....lets just hope I keep it up.
I have so many cards that I want to share that I am stuck for choice, but seen as Christmas is over for another year I thought you may like to see these
Its the same card but in completely different colour ways

I used stamps by Chloe - if you have never used her stamps, take it from me they are excellent value for money, give good stamped images every time, easy to keep clean and loads of choice!
So for the card I used a large square card and with the white card I matted a piece of silver mirri card and on the red card it was a piece of gold mirri card.
I stamped a sentiment with versamark and heat embossed with gold or silver powder.
Next the wreathe was stamped and again heat embossed.
The poinsettia was stamped onto red card and the other onto white card, heat embossed and when cool I gentle shaped the leaves and built up the flower...I did this so I have three flowers on each card,
I stamped the bow twice on matching card, heat embossed them then cut out and decoupaged before sticking to the top of the wreathe.
The wreathe and the sentiment were matted onto mirri card and then fixed the panels to the right hand side of my cards
The flowers were stuck to the left of the card using cosmic shimmer glue.
To finish I used clear AB gems to decorate in between the flowers, smaller coloured AB gems were randomly glued to the wreathe and then card candi was put in the centres if the flowers
A few AB gems were placed in a line to the top right hand corner of the card.
I do hope you like my card in two colours!

New Home

Good afternoon
As I said in my previous posts (I think) I have made lots of cards that I hope to share with you
One thing I must add though - I haven't taken lots of photos of each card - not sure why but there we are!
This was a mini kit I bought from www.scrapbookingmad.co.uk
 I think
We have some friends who have been living in a caravan whilst building their home and a few days before Christmas they actually moved in - even though they had no furniture at the time!
So to my card then...

I used an 8x8 plain card blank
The main image was cut down then matted onto a piece of blue holographic mirri card
I had rounded the corners  on the main card, the mirri mat and the main image - then they were all stuck in place using cosmic shimmer PVA glue.
The decoupage elements were cut out , shaped lightly using the edge of the scissors then stuck in place with small sticky pads,
I used a length of sage with white spots ribbon along the spine then used a small piece to tie a knot in the middle of the main ribbon - a lovely teapot charm was added to the last tie of the knot.
To finish the card I added a little flower soft here and there as well as glitter and some pretty AB clear gems that went as flower centres.
The sentiment was already printed on the card when I bought it.
This  was a quick and easy yet pretty New Home card - don't you agree?
See you again soon folks

UPDATE ON ME

Well Hello
I thought I would let you all know what's happening with me just now.
I have been running 2 card making classes so that was taking a huge amount of time, as I had to make up a new demo card then sort the papers out for around 15 people - then I would have 2 or 3 people arrive when I didn't expect them or up to 6 just not turn up and I would be left with all these extra kits!
I had a letter from the hospital regarding my operation, I had the date for the pre op and then the op was just 4 days later.
Had the pre op and was all sorted ready for the op when I had a call, less than 18 hours to going in to say the op was cancelled as I had a water infection and MSSA so was prescribed antibiotics and a body wash.
So after a week of treatment I was clear and then my date was reset for 12th December - I got dropped off at 3.40pm and made my way to the ward only to be told there was no bed available so I would have to return at 7am the next day.
So at 8am on Friday 13th December I went into theatre for a total knee replacement...all went well and I was back on the ward just after lunchtime...I made good progress so came home on Monday afternoon with strict instructions to rest, rest, rest....and that's just what I am doing!
I am using walking sticks and will be for around 3 - 6 months so I am pleased I now live in a bungalow - no stairs!!!
I haven't been in the craft room and so far haven't missed it.
Today I sat in the kitchen and with Pete's help we made a couple of dozen mince pies, a fruit loaf and a banana with walnut cake...
But I spent this evening suffering for it so tomorrow I will be doing nothing but sitting with the leg well elevated.
And now its just after 11pm so time to hobble off to bed I think.
See you again soon

Sexy Santa!!!

Don't be so shocked!!

Ok so I've been awol for such a long time now but its not been an easy few months for me
I set up a new card making class within a few weeks of moving to my lovely bungalow in New Holland and together with my long standing card class over in Hull I was finding I just ran out of hours in the day.
I didn't stop making cards though - not only for my classes but card orders and of course Christmas because no matter how hard I try I never seem to get in front with "spares" for Christmas, mind you I had an order for 22 cards and another for 12.
The card I am showing you today is the card I managed to get made for my lovely hubby Pete...
It was a sheet by Lisa Bagitello (sorry I cannot spell or remember her name) showing a sexy female santa, now which man would be disappointed by a card  like this?
I used an 8x8 scallop edge card blank, I had a pad of foiled christmas papers so used a lovely red , white and green paper to cover the card front, the corners were rounded before I stuck the paper in place.
I cut the main  image which was 5x5 I thin, then matted it to shiny black mirri card leaving a wide border, then 2nd mat to red mirri card. The corners were all rounded prior to being stuck in place.
I attached the matted section to the top right of the card then using red glittered card I die cut some poinsettia flowers and a small black centre - the flowers were made up using cosmic shimmer PVA and a bright red gem added to the centres, the flowers were then stuck to the top left of the card.
A cheeky message as well as a sentiment were added, to finish I added gems and peel off gems.
A lovely card which was quite a quick & easy make - hope you like it too!
Will see you again soon with an update on what's being happening with me of late
Not too long to Christmas now - its just mentioned on the news we have just 50 shopping hours till Christmas

Stamped Village

Ok so I’ve not posted for soooo long – I really do apologise
Time is running away with me every day or so it seems.
The classes are doing well and the card for today is one that I’ve got sorted for the classes this week
I used a shaped card from Craftwork and then used nestabilities to cut out the 3 different mats – the largest was embossed, the middle was dark blue and then the smaller white mat was used to do the stamping on
I used Tim Holtz Stormy Skies distress ink pad to colour the edges of the main card as well as the 2 white mats
The stamping was done using the same ink pad.
I added glitter highlights to the buildings and trees and cut a swirl to cover the bottom of the card
The poinsettia was cut from Marianne dies, I lightly inked the edges with another Tim Holtz distress ink pad, built them up until I was happy and added a gold card candi to the centre
I finished off by adding 3 beautiful clear AB gems to the 2 top corners and the bottom right as the poinsettia was placed in the bottom left corner
The stamps were the November project pack from Aly’s Inky Fingers
I loved the card so much I have made another 3 but ion different colour ways – will take photos and add as soon as I can
Bye for now
