On Safari

Hello friends
I looked on the Sunday Cd challenge blog and saw the theme this week was Travels Abroad

I have lots of lovely cds that have great papers and images so it was just a case of which one to work with.
In the end I chose a Debbi Moore cd – Stitch the Bear on Safari
With a lot of things to chose from I ended up with the background showing the hippo in the water

I cut 2 pieces of card and scored at 2cm intervals then concertina folded them and stuck the background panel to the back folds.

I added Stitch, a curly snake and a butterfly randomly on the card back and some on the folds then added a piece of acetate to the front of the card, paw print backing paper was added to the card front edges and finally a sentiment was stuck to the acetate on an angle.
The great thing with this kind of card is it can be used for so many different card themes and folds flat for posting!
And that’s my card done for this week!
See you again soon my friends

Fox In The Snow

Hello friends
Well to say its been a while since I last posted is an understatement for sure
I wasn’t well for a while then my lovely friend Beth found us a fantastic holiday in Tunisia for 2 weeks and since getting home I was just so fed up and craving the sun again so couldn’t settle into anything!
But I looked on the Sunday Cd challenge blog and saw the theme this week was to do with foxes so wasted no time using a new cd that I received just a day or two ago
The cd is by Creative Crafting and called A Winter Walk in the Countryside
Its filled with fantastic artwork and I am pretty sure I will get lots of use from this cd.

For the card I used a 6x6 scallop edged card blank and simply printed off the whole card on one sheet...so it was the backing paper, image, border and bows...all I added was a little brown card to mat the image onto

I used some contrasting card candy in the corners and finished off by using Cosmic
Shimmer pva glue to highlight snowy areas then covered with glamour dust
A really quick and easy card but beautiful with it!!
Hope to be back again soon
Bye for now
